Repeals subsection (a) of Georgia Code Section 12-8-25.3, which contained restrictions on siting municipal solid waste landfill sites within significant groundwater recharge areas

Retains the requirement that regional municipal solid waste landfills located in designated significant groundwater recharge areas may only be permitted if the participating counties or special districts have contiguous boundaries and a joint contract for solid waste collection and disposal

Removes a cross-reference to the repealed subsection (a) from the regional landfill permitting provision in subsection (b)
