Recognizes and commends Lieutenant Colonel Shirley Arnold for over 37 years of volunteer service to the Georgia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, which conducts missions in homeland security, counter drug operations, disaster relief, and search and rescue.

Lt. Col. Arnold served 10 years as Georgia Wing Administrator, provided assistance and support to 12 Georgia Wing commanders, and chartered the Dobbins Cadet Squadron (now the Cobb Composite Squadron).

The Georgia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol comprises over 2,000 volunteer members in 45 squadrons and four groups located throughout Georgia.

Lt. Col. Arnold received the Gil Rob Wilson Award, the highest senior honor in the Civil Air Patrol, along with Master ratings in various Civil Air Patrol specialty tracks.

Sponsored by Senators Loudermilk of the 52nd, Hill of the 32nd, and Heath of the 31st; directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Lt. Col. Arnold.
