Georgia House Resolution 1289, sponsored by Representative Parsons of the 44th district, recognizes and commends Mr. James E. Frazier for his contributions to the community

Mr. Frazier served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1956; he earned degrees from Carson Newman College and Vanderbilt's Peabody College

He began coaching at Sprayberry High School in 1959, leading teams to sub-region titles in 1965 and 1988, region titles in 1978 and 1982, county titles in 1978 and 1983, and top ten final rankings in 1965, 1978, and 1982

Sprayberry High School named its stadium "Jim Frazier Stadium" in his honor, and he served as Chairman of the Sprayberry Football and Baseball Committees for 50 years

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide an appropriate copy of the resolution to Mr. Frazier
