Played basketball professionally in Spain and France and was inducted into the Howard University Sports Hall of Fame and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame

Served as Deputy Competition Manager for basketball at the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Games and received numerous awards, including the Lewis Hines National Award and the WNBA Atlanta Dream Women of Inspiration Award

Holds four degrees, including a BBA from Howard University and three graduate degrees from the University of West Georgia, and currently teaches business education and coaches basketball in the DeKalb County school system
