Ambassador Sulunteh holds a B.S. in Economics from Cuttington University (Liberia), a Master of Public Administration from the American University in Cairo, and a Master of Economics from York University in Toronto, Canada

Appointed by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf—Liberia and Africa's first democratically elected female president—to serve as Minister of Transport (2006–2008), Minister of Post and Telecommunications (2008–2010), Minister of Labor (2010–2012), and Ambassador of Liberia to the United States (2012)

Served as an economics professor at the University of Liberia and Cuttington University
