Georgia Senate recognizes and commends Lindsay Reeves, University of North Georgia (UNG) Director of Athletics, for receiving the NACDA Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year Award as one of four NCAA Division II recipients

Reeves is in her 16th year at UNG and is the first female director of athletics in the university's history, overseeing 12 NCAA Division II sports, 48 athletic department employees, nine facilities, and more than 225 student-athletes

Under her leadership, the UNG softball team won the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship, and she has led teams to conference, regional, and national success while emphasizing total student-athlete development

Reeves was named the 2014 NACWAA NCAA Division II Administrator of the Year and began a four-year term on the NCAA Division II Management Council in fall 2015
