Georgia Senate Resolution 1226, sponsored by Senator Tippins of the 37th district, recognizes and commends Rev. Todd Wardsworth Allen for his lifetime of military service, ministry, and community dedication

Rev. Allen served in the U.S. Army Air Force from March 1943 to December 1945 as a flight radio operator during World War II across four theaters of operation, earning three Bronze Star medals

Graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, in 1959 and served as a Presbyterian pastor for 57 continuous years across multiple Georgia churches, including Midway and Mars Hill Presbyterian Churches in Cobb County, Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church in Savannah (12 years), and Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs (June 1983–November 1996)

Played a key role in landmark court cases protecting local church property rights, litigated through the Superior Court of Chatham County, the Georgia Supreme Court (twice), and the U.S. Supreme Court, which contributed to the formation of the Presbyterian Church in America

Continues to serve Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs as pastor emeritus, alongside his wife of 59 years, Judith, teaching Sunday school, visiting the sick, and counseling church and community members
