Recognizes February 23, 2018, as Clayton County Public Schools Day at the Georgia state capitol, commending the district for its achievements on behalf of Clayton County

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is the fifth largest school system in Georgia, serving more than 54,000 students at 65 learning sites, and is fully accredited through AdvancED-SACS as of June 2016

CCPS achieved a 69.9% overall graduation rate and a 92.8% graduation rate for Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) concentrators, with its largest-ever increase in CCRPI scores in 2016-2017, outperforming statewide growth by 2.3 percentage points

The district was recognized by the College Board as one of two Georgia school systems creating opportunities for traditionally underrepresented students in higher education and received multiple awards, including the 2017 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award

CCPS provides free breakfast and lunch to all students through the Community Eligibility Option Program and was designated as only the second Asthma-Friendly school system in Georgia by the Department of Public Health
