Georgia House Resolution recognizing and commending eight schools for exemplary academic achievements and community service, sponsored by Representative Gilliard of the 162nd district

Highlights elementary school accomplishments including Brock Elementary's 12.6 point CCRPI gain, Largo-Tibet Elementary's 2017 Leader in Me Academy and 2016 Let's Move! National Award, Pulaski Elementary's "Accreditation with Quality" designation, and Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts' 2015 National Blue Ribbon School status and highest CCRPI score among elementary, middle, and K-8 schools in the district

Recognizes Mercer Middle School as a Georgia Lighthouse School to Watch for four consecutive years and The STEM Academy at Bartlett as the 2017 Technology Association of Georgia Top STEM Middle School

Commends Groves High School for establishing a youth council with the mayor of Garden City and its Beta Club earning the Distinguished National Beta Club Award two years in a row, and Woodville High School for being named one of America's Best High Schools by U.S. News and World Report with a 100 percent graduation rate

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to make appropriate copies of the resolution available for distribution to each of the eight recognized schools
