Georgia House Resolution 1800, sponsored by Representatives Gonzalez (117th) and Wallace (119th), recognizes and commends Broderick Flanigan for his dedication to art, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and community service in Athens, Georgia

Flanigan graduated from Georgia Southern in 2011 and opened two businesses: Flanigan's Portrait Studio and Enlightened Media Productions, which serves underrepresented minority businesses with branding and consulting

Selected as March Artist of the Month for House District 117, Flanigan has created murals across Athens in churches and schools and has dozens of solo, juried, and group exhibitions

Founded the Harps Mural Program to teach and empower youth through public mural art, and has volunteered with Chess and Community, the Clarke County Mentor Program, and multiple after-school programs

Received multiple awards including Mentor of the Year (Clarke County Mentor Program), the All Love Solidarity Award, and Citizen of the Year (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity), along with grants from the Linda Kelly Foundation, Athfest Educates, and the Classic Center Cultural Arts Foundation
