Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was founded on January 5, 1911, at Indiana University by ten African-American men and operates under the theme "Training for Leadership"

The fraternity has over 130,000 members on college campuses and in graduate chapters worldwide, with its Southeastern Province covering South Carolina, Georgia, and South Africa established in 1951

Youth outreach programs include Kappa League, Guide Right, Kappa Kamp, and the Undergraduate Leadership Institute

Sponsored by Senators Jackson of the 2nd, Jones of the 10th, and Jones II of the 22nd; directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to the fraternity
