Counties and municipal corporations are prohibited from charging more than $500.00 in fees for issuing permits or approvals related to the construction or renovation of agricultural structures by qualified agricultural producers

"Agricultural structure" is defined as any building used solely for commercial production or processing of crops, livestock, animals, poultry, honeybees, honeybee products, livestock products, poultry products, timber, forest products, or commercial aquaculture products

The definition of agricultural structure also includes farm labor camps and facilities for migrant farm workers

Qualified agricultural producers eligible for the fee cap are defined by reference to Code Section 48-8-3.3 of existing Georgia law

Amends Title 8 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated by adding new Code Section 8-2-5
