Requires national fingerprint-based background checks through the Georgia Crime Information Center and FBI for applicants seeking licensure as physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and psychologists, replacing previous board-determined criminal history records checks

Extends the fingerprint background check requirement for health care professionals licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board to also cover expedited physician licensees

Applicants must provide classifiable sets of fingerprints and all information necessary for the background check, with submission of a license application constituting express consent for the check

Applicants are responsible for all fees associated with the performance of the criminal background check

Reports from fingerprint background checks for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and psychologists are prohibited from being shared with entities outside of Georgia
