Georgia House resolution supporting COVID-19 policy recommendations from the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC) Legislative Advisory Group, a subcommittee of the Georgia COVID-19 Task Force Community Outreach Subcommittee

Recommends protecting residents by requiring essential business employers to provide PPE, expanding the essential worker classification to all public-facing workers, placing testing sites in accessible locations near vulnerable communities, and making testing and treatment available regardless of ability to pay

Recommends protecting the economy by incentivizing domestic PPE production (mirroring the federal Defense Production Act), directing the commissioners of labor and TCSG to prioritize job training for unemployed Georgians, and ensuring minority-owned and disadvantaged businesses receive equitable access to state contracts and resources

Recommends supporting hospitals by prioritizing PPE distribution, directing significant CARES Act and other federal funds directly to local hospitals, and disaggregating all COVID-19 contraction and death data by race, gender, age, ethnicity, county, city, and insurance status

Recommends ensuring government accountability by creating a public dashboard tracking federal and state COVID-19 spending and vendor contracts, granting public access to reports from the governor's five COVID-19 committees, and conducting an audit of the state's overall crisis response
