Georgia House Resolution 1661 recognizes and commends W. Frank Wilson for his outstanding public service to the State of Georgia upon the occasion of his retirement from the Albany Civil Rights Institute

W. Frank Wilson served more than 40 years in educational, governmental, and community positions, including director of the Center for the African American Male and academic counselor at Albany State University

After retiring from Albany State University, Wilson was appointed interim executive director of the Albany Civil Rights Institute and became executive director in 2014
