Recognizes and commends Senator Zahra Karinshak for her outstanding public service upon the occasion of her retirement from the Georgia State Senate, where she represented District 48 (portions of Forsyth and Gwinnett counties) since 2018

Senator Karinshak served on several Senate committees, including Agriculture and Consumer Affairs; Natural Resources and the Environment; Special Judiciary; and Veterans, Military, and Homeland Security

Prior to her Senate service, she served as deputy executive counsel to Governor Roy Barnes, where she helped change Georgia's state flag and managed judicial, military, and law enforcement affairs

Served as an assistant United States attorney in Atlanta prosecuting fraud, human trafficking, child predators, firearms trafficking, and violent crimes, and served as a U.S. Air Force officer

Has worked as a partner at the Atlanta-based law firm Krevolin & Horst, LLC since 2011, leading the firm's whistleblower practice
