Commends Georgia's four public research universities — the University of Georgia, Augusta University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Georgia State University — for their contributions to higher education in the state

Recognizes the University System of Georgia's impact across all 159 counties, with 26 public institutions enrolling more than 333,000 students and generating over 168,000 jobs and $17.7 billion in economic output

Highlights the University of Georgia's $6.5 billion annual economic impact, $453 million in research and development expenditures, and nearly 39,000 students; and Augusta University's role as the state's only public academic health center with a $100 million research investment and more than 9,000 students

Recognizes Georgia Tech as the number five public university nationally, with a $3.4 billion annual economic impact, a $1 billion research enterprise, and over 36,000 students; and Georgia State University's more than 53,000 students across six metro Atlanta campuses with research funding exceeding $100 million for five consecutive years

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of the resolution to the student government associations of each commended institution
