Georgia Department of Public Health, in consultation with the Department of Education, would be required to conduct or facilitate surveys of children and youth on core measures to promote healthy living and support access to federal funds

Core measures may include perception of risk/harm, perception of peer and adult disapproval/approval, past 30-day substance use, suicide/suicidal ideation, adverse childhood experiences, food insecurity, and other measures identified by the department

All surveys must be confidential, and any resulting data must be de-identified

De-identified survey data may be shared with programs and coalitions that promote healthy living for children and youth specifically for the purpose of accessing applicable federal funds

Amends Chapter 2A of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated by adding new Code section 31-2A-19
