Creates the Senate Study Committee on a Museum of African American History and Culture of Georgia to study the preservation, collection, and promotion of African American historical materials, artifacts, and culture in the state

Committee composed of 7 members: 3 senators appointed by the President of the Senate (one designated as chairperson), the majority leader, the chairperson of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, and 2 citizens with experience supporting historically black colleges and universities

Committee directed to meet at various locations across the state, particularly in rural areas, engaging with local officials, educators, health care providers, business leaders, and civic groups to gather input

Legislative members receive standard allowances under Code Section 28-1-8; non-legislator, non-state employee members receive a daily expense allowance and mileage, limited to 5 days unless additional days are authorized, funded through Senate appropriations

Committee required to file any approved findings, recommendations, or proposed legislation with the Secretary of the Senate prior to its abolishment date of December 1, 2022
