Georgia House Resolution 1430 recognizes and commends Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed for her more than 40 years of medical practice in metropolitan Atlanta, particularly her work in breast cancer research and clinical trials

Dr. Phillips-Reed is a graduate of Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons and the first African American woman to complete Emory University's Surgical Program

She operated a Mobile Breast Clinic providing screenings, diagnostic services, treatment referrals, education, and clinical trial access to medically underserved and uninsured men and women in metro Atlanta

Her honors include the Atlanta Business League's 2017 Women Hall of Fame award, the 2018 American Association for Access Equity and Diversity Award, and the 2019 Pink Frog Legacy Award

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Dr. Phillips-Reed
