Georgia House Resolution 1448 recognizes and commends Eric Mwangi, a Kenyan community leader based in Atlanta with over 25 years of community service and youth development through sports and mentoring programs

Mwangi serves as executive director of two nonprofits: CHANCE Afrika (founded 2006), a 501(c)(3) supporting youth development through sports and education, and ABN Worldwide (founded 2010), the African Business Network providing networking and referral marketing for African businesses

He has organized major Georgia community events including the Taming the Nile 5K Races for malaria awareness, Spring and Fall Family Fun Days showcasing Kenyan cuisine and culture, and the Atlanta Mashujaa Day dinner gala honoring local heroes

Mwangi is a founding member and former Marketing Director of the Kenya USA Diaspora Sacco, where he now serves on the Advisory Board, and works professionally as a Marketing Vice President at Citibank

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Eric Mwangi
