Georgia House Resolution 1482 recognizes and commends Sha Battle for her contributions on behalf of Black women in Georgia and beyond

Sha Battle has had a 26+ year career in information and computer technology, working for companies including GE Computer Service, Raytheon Corporation, CH2M Hill, Coca Cola USA, Exxon, CTG, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Corning

She created the Black Woman in Jazz Awards, which will celebrate its 10th award show this year, and founded March is International Black Women In Jazz & The Arts Month

She created Black Women's History Month, designating April as a time to celebrate contributions made by Black women and the history of past, present, and future generations of Africa's descendants

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Sha Battle
