Georgia House Resolution 1625, sponsored by Representative Sharper of the 177th district, recognizes and commends entertainer and entrepreneur Kandi Burruss for her accomplishments in the entertainment industry

Burruss began her music career at age 14 with the R&B group Xscape, achieving three Platinum-selling albums and signing a record deal with So So Def by age 16, and has since written and collaborated with artists including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, TLC, and Alicia Keys

She starred in 12 seasons of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and launched multiple businesses, including Kandi Koated Entertainment, Bedroom Kandi, Old Lady Gang and Blaze Steak & Seafood restaurants, and TAGS boutiques

She made her Broadway producing debut in 2021 with "Thoughts of a Colored Man" and became the first-ever female winner of Fox's "The Masked Singer" during its third season

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Kandi Burruss
