Georgia House Resolution congratulating and commending Dr. Marion Ross Fedrick for her service as the 10th President of Albany State University, a position she held since August 2018 after helping lead the consolidation of Darton State College and Albany State University

During her tenure at Albany State University, the institution's economic impact grew to over $260 million annually, with increases in enrollment and student retention despite challenges from Hurricane Michael and the COVID-19 pandemic

Dr. Fedrick holds three degrees from the University of Georgia (bachelor's in education, master's in public administration, and doctorate in education) and previously served as Vice Chancellor for Human Resources in the University System of Georgia

Dr. Fedrick is transitioning to dual roles as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at Georgia State University and Senior Advisor to Chancellor Sonny Perdue for HBCU Initiatives within the University System of Georgia
