GA SB384

Establishes the State of Georgia as a Model Employer (GAME) Program to improve the recruitment, hiring, advancement, and retention of qualified individuals with disabilities across all levels and occupations within state executive branch agencies.

Assigns the State ADA Coordinator responsibility for developing and implementing the GAME Program, including providing technical assistance and training to agency HR personnel and hiring managers, assisting with reasonable accommodation plans, and creating evaluation forms for data collection.

Requires each state agency to submit an annual report to the State ADA Coordinator by September 1 (beginning in 2025) detailing the percentage of jobs filled by qualified individuals with disabilities, barriers in employment policies, ADA training for HR supervisors, and emergency evacuation readiness.

Requires the State ADA Coordinator to submit a written progress report by December 15 each year (beginning in 2025) to the Governor, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and chairpersons of the Senate Insurance and Labor Committee and House Committee on Industry and Labor.

Specifies that nothing in the act requires a state agency to predetermine an individual's disability status or a reasonable accommodation.
