Recognizes and commends Senator Valencia Seay (D-District 34) for her dedicated public service to Georgia upon the occasion of her retirement

Senator Seay served on the Clayton County Board of Education (1993–2000), in the Georgia House of Representatives (2001–2002), and in the Georgia Senate since 2003, holding membership on the Appropriations, Ethics, Government Oversight, Public Safety, and Science and Technology Committees

Retired from a 22-year banking career, she is president and CEO of Seay & Associates and attended DeKalb College, Clayton State University, and the Flemming Fellows Leadership Institute

Honored with numerous awards including the 2015 We Are Clayton Living Legend Award and the 2015 Alpha Kappa Alpha Capitol Legislator of the Year Award, and recognized by the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council for legislative advocacy in establishing an agricultural museum

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to Senator Seay
