Urges Georgia to support the Vince Dooley Battlefield Preservation Fund, established by the American Battlefield Trust to honor the legendary University of Georgia coach and history enthusiast, as part of the Georgia US250 Committee's observance of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

The fund aims to secure private and public funding to leverage federal matching funds for preserving Georgia battlefield sites, including over 200 acres at Chickamauga, Gilgal Church, Kettle Creek, Pine Mountain, Ringgold Gap, and Rocky Face Ridge.

Georgia contains more than six American Revolution battlefields, one War of 1812 battlefield, and 27 Civil War battlefields; the American Battlefield Trust has already protected more than 2,400 acres at Kennesaw Mountain, New Hope Church, Resaca, and other Georgia locations valued at over $10 million since 1997.

The National Park Service estimates only 20% of the most significant Civil War battlefields are permanently preserved, and half of American Revolution and War of 1812 battlefields have already been lost.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of the resolution to the public and the press.
