Georgia Senate Resolution 811, sponsored by Senator James of the 35th, recognizes and commends Grammy Award-winning artist Montell Jordan for his contributions to music and community service

Jordan is renowned for his chart-topping hit This is How We Do It and released seven studio albums and 14 singles over a nearly 20-year music career, selling more than 10 million records worldwide

In 2008, Jordan relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and became executive pastor at Victory Church in Norcross, dedicating nearly a decade to fostering unity, hope, and healing in the Atlanta community

Alongside his wife Kristin, he established Master Peace Church, a virtual ministry dedicated to nurturing and restoring marriages

Jordan is a father of six, a 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and is commended by the Georgia Senate for his efforts on behalf of his community and state
