GA HB1047

Amends the definition of "municipality" in Georgia's water and sewer projects and costs tax law (Code Section 48-8-200)

Removes the current requirement that municipalities must have wastewater flow of at least 85 million gallons per day or interconnect with such a system

Expands eligibility to include any "qualified municipality" as defined in Code Section 48-8-110

Adds consolidated governments (created by merging a county with one or more municipalities) to the definition of eligible municipalities

Broadens which local governments can participate in the water and sewer projects and costs tax program
