Electric utilities must include contract provisions protecting residential and retail customers from costs associated with data center construction and operation

Applies only to data centers with peak annual electricity demand of 100 megawatts or greater

Required contract terms include minimum billing requirements to recover incremental costs of serving data centers, performance and credit provisions for contract defaults, and termination protections for retail customers

Contract terms may exceed the length of standard service tariffs

Georgia Public Service Commission will determine compliance; provisions apply only to agreements entered into on or after the Act's effective date
