Counties, municipal corporations, and other governmental entities in Georgia are prohibited from charging disabled veterans building fees for residential improvements needed to accommodate their disability

Waived fees include permit fees, plan review fees, plan examination fees, inspection fees, reinspection fees, and other related building fees

Disabled veterans must apply to the Commissioner of Veterans Service for certification, who will issue proof of certification and may require supporting documentation

Veterans must still submit all required applications, forms, and documentation to local governments, along with their disability certification
