State Board of Workers' Compensation must notify an injured peace officer's legal guardian (in addition to the officer) about eligibility for the Georgia State Indemnification Fund and temporary disability compensation programs

Law enforcement agencies must notify an injured employee's legal guardian within 10 days of an injury that may cause permanent or temporary disability about available compensation programs

Creates a one-month application window (July 1 - August 1, 2026) for public safety officers or their legal guardians to apply for total permanent disability indemnification for organic brain damage sustained in the line of duty on or before July 1, 2024

Application window applies when the brain damage required extended recovery that prevented the officer from meeting the standard application deadline

Act becomes effective July 1, 2026, with the special application window provision automatically repealing on July 1, 2030
