GA HB1170

Authorizes the State Court of Spalding County clerk to collect a technology fee of up to $15.00 per civil action filing and up to $15.00 as a surcharge on each fine assessed by the court

Fee amounts are set by the state court judge and must be used exclusively for the court's technological needs

Permitted uses include computer hardware/software purchases, equipment leasing and maintenance, audio-visual and imaging equipment, and technical support services

Collected funds must be maintained in a segregated account by the clerk and spent only as directed by the chief judge of the court
