GA HB1184

Amends Georgia Code Section 38-2-9 to eliminate the provision that allowed officers with 20+ years of service to retire at one grade higher than their highest grade held during service

Establishes uniform treatment for all organized militia members (officers, warrant officers, and enlisted persons) who retire after 20+ years of service, allowing transfer to the state retired list at the grade equivalent to their highest grade held

Retains existing provisions allowing the Governor to retire militia members at age 64 or earlier to conform with federal laws and regulations

Preserves the Governor's authority to recall retired members to active duty for military courts, boards, staff duty, or emergency military duty upon adjutant general recommendation
