GA HB1211

Amends Georgia Code Section 33-24-56.3 to expand the sources of guidelines that health benefit policies must follow for colorectal cancer screening coverage

Requires health insurers to cover colorectal cancer screenings based on recommendations from any of the following: American Cancer Society (with American College of Gastroenterology and American College of Radiology), National Comprehensive Cancer Network, United States Preventive Services Task Force, or federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Coverage must align with the ages, family histories, and screening frequencies specified in the applicable guidelines

Attending physicians retain authority to determine appropriate screenings after conferring with the patient
