Allows students in grades 6-12 enrolled full-time in qualifying virtual public schools to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities at their resident public school, expanding the existing "Dexter Mosely Act" which previously covered only home study students

Qualifying virtual schools are defined as Georgia public schools providing solely virtual instruction that do not offer school-sponsored interscholastic athletic programs to students in grades 6-12

Virtual school students must provide 30 days advance written notice, submit their most recent report card showing passing grades, meet all age, academic, behavioral, and residency requirements, and complete tryouts like other students

Students who withdraw from public school to enroll in a qualifying virtual school face a 12-month waiting period before becoming eligible to participate in extracurricular or interscholastic activities

Effective July 1, 2026, applying beginning with the 2027-2028 school year
