GA HB1220

Waives the six-week public school attendance requirement for scholarship eligibility for children of active duty military stationed in Georgia, students with IEPs or Section 504 Plans, and students diagnosed with dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, speech-language delay, hearing loss, or other designated intellectual/developmental disabilities

Removes the maximum scholarship cap (currently tied to average state/local per-student expenditures) for students with IEPs, Section 504 Plans, or designated disabilities, allowing them to receive higher scholarship amounts

Requires the Department of Education to annually designate qualifying intellectual and developmental disabilities and publish this list by January 1 each year

Mandates the Department of Education maintain a public website listing participating schools and the specific medical or behavioral conditions each school currently accommodates or can accommodate

Effective upon Governor's approval and applies to taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2026
