GA HB1282

Adds aggravated sexual battery (Code Section 16-6-22.2) to the list of offenses against victims under 16 that have extended or eliminated statutes of limitations

For crimes committed between July 1, 1992 and June 30, 2012, the statute of limitations does not begin running until the victim reaches age 16 or the crime is reported to law enforcement, whichever occurs first

For crimes committed on or after July 1, 2012, there is no statute of limitations—prosecution may be commenced at any time when the victim was under 16
