Requires home inspectors and home inspection companies to be licensed by the residential contractor division board beginning January 1, 2028

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma (or 10 years of industry experience), pass a criminal background check, and pass a board-approved examination

Licensed inspectors must maintain $250,000 per occurrence/$500,000 aggregate general liability insurance and the same amounts for errors and omissions insurance

Licenses renew every four years; the board may investigate complaints and impose penalties including fines, license suspension or revocation, and cease and desist orders

Existing home inspectors working before July 1, 2027 may apply for licensure without meeting education requirements if they pass the National Home Inspector Examination
