Requires individuals served with protective orders to surrender or transfer all firearms and ammunition within 48 hours to courts, law enforcement, federally licensed dealers, or qualified third parties

Mandates court clerks report protective orders creating firearm prohibitions to the Georgia Crime Information Center and National Instant Criminal Background Check System

Provides false statements to courts or law enforcement to evade firearm surrender requirements constitutes a misdemeanor

Allows firearm rights restoration upon protective order expiration or court finding that the respondent no longer poses a danger to public safety
