GA HB1330

Establishes the Georgia Public School Excellence and Stability (GPSES) grant program through the State Board of Education to provide funding to local school systems and public schools on the state's list of underperforming schools.

Grants fund tutorial and educational services that must be grade-level appropriate, aligned with state standards and the science of reading, and include student progress tracking and reporting.

Provides salary supplements up to $5,000 per school year for teachers and administrators with more than 3 years of experience who accept their first contract at an underperforming school.

Salary supplements may continue for up to 3 consecutive school years at the same school, but recipients are disqualified if they receive an unsatisfactory annual performance evaluation.

Grant applications must include detailed plans for fund expenditure and methods for measuring impact on student learning; program funding is subject to legislative appropriations.
