Amends the Columbus, Georgia charter to revise procedures for filling vacancies in the office of mayor or councilor

Vacancies occurring more than 90 days before a general election must be filled by special election for the unexpired term pursuant to Georgia Election Code

Vacancies occurring 90 days or fewer before a general election are filled by majority vote of remaining council members for the remainder of the unexpired term

The mayor pro tempore serves as acting mayor during any mayoral vacancy; if the vacancy occurs within 90 days of a general election, the mayor pro tempore permanently succeeds to the office for the remainder of the term

The Muscogee County election superintendent must issue a call for special elections within 30 days after a vacancy is established
