Prohibits multivehicle accidents where the employer or employee was less than 50 percent at fault from affecting the employer's experience modification factor or being used to surcharge, cancel, or decline to renew workers' compensation insurance policies

Increases maximum weekly benefit for total disability from $800 to $900 per week and for temporary partial disability from $533 to $600 per week

Raises maximum burial expense reimbursement from $7,500 to $10,000 and increases maximum death benefits for a surviving spouse (sole dependent) from $320,000 to $360,000

Reduces the job attempt period before employees can petition for benefit reinstatement from 15 to 10 working days, and establishes a formal process requiring sworn statements, show-cause teleconferences within 5 business days, and potential interlocutory orders from administrative law judges

Expands authority for referral physicians (in addition to authorized treating physicians) to release employees to return to work with restrictions
