GA HB14

Creates the Georgia Music Office within the Department of Economic Development to promote growth of the state's music industry, support musicians, and cultivate Georgia's music heritage

Requires the commissioner to select a director with at least 5 years of music industry experience and extensive knowledge of live touring, recording, and distribution

Establishes a "Music Friendly Georgia Certified Communities Program" requiring participating cities and counties to host workshops, form advisory boards of local music stakeholders, and appoint a certified liaison

Directs the office to serve as an information clearinghouse, coordinate marketing programs, assist with business relocation, maintain listings of music festivals and events, and act as liaison between music businesses and government agencies

Implementation is contingent on appropriations by the General Assembly or other available funding
