GA HB1406

Amends Georgia Code Section 21-2-2 to allow special election and special primary calls to be published on government websites as an alternative to newspaper publication

The "date of the call" can now be established by posting on the website of the applicable county, municipality, consolidated government, school system, or (for statewide elections) the Secretary of State's website

Adds a new definition of "newspaper" to include publications of general circulation available on a public website, whether free or for a fee

Removes the previous requirement that newspaper publication be in a newspaper "of appropriate circulation"
