Sumter County Board of Education members will receive $500.00 per month in compensation

Board members may be reimbursed up to $3,000.00 per year for actual travel expenses incurred outside the county for official board business, including training sessions and state-wide meetings

Out-of-county travel must be authorized by a majority vote of the board prior to the trip, and all expenses must be approved and verified before reimbursement

Board members are entitled to participate in school district group insurance plans as authorized under O.C.G.A. Code Section 20-2-55

Effective date is the first day of the month following gubernatorial approval or passage into law
