Authorizes the Municipal Court of the Town of Mount Airy to charge a technology fee as a surcharge on each criminal and quasi-criminal fine, with a maximum of $10.00 per fine

Fee amount is set by order of the municipal court judge and must be used exclusively for court technology needs

Permitted uses include purchase, lease, maintenance, and installation of computer hardware/software and equipment for imaging, scanning, facsimile, communications, projections, and printing

Collected funds must be maintained in a segregated account separate from other town funds, jointly managed by the chief financial officer and clerk of court

Funds may be used to reimburse the town's information technology department for services provided to the court, with expenditures directed by the town manager
