Authority may contract for professional services, grant exclusive franchises or concessions, enter agreements with federal/state/local governments, and apply for loans and grants, but does not have eminent domain power

Executive director serves as chief executive and operating officer, responsible for staffing (including tourism promotion staff) and managing all authority activities

Financial records must be audited annually, with audits furnished to the City of Hinesville as public records; members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for reasonable expenses
