Transfers operation of the Georgia Capitol Museum from the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia to the Georgia Building Authority, effective July 1, 2026.

All contracts, leases, agreements, policies, and procedures related to the museum transfer to the Georgia Building Authority, which will be substituted as the party to existing agreements.

Employees of the Board of Regents working on museum functions as of June 30, 2026, become employees of the Georgia Building Authority on July 1, 2026, in similar capacities.

Georgia Building Authority assumes responsibility for maintaining exhibits, distributing educational publications to schools, conducting tours of the museum and state capitol, and receiving grants or donations for museum use.

Capitol Art Standards Commission will now cooperate with the Georgia Building Authority (instead of Board of Regents) to designate Georgia Capitol Agricultural History Museum areas within the capitol museum.
