Bibb County school district residents ages 65-74 would receive a $17,000 homestead exemption from school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes

Residents ages 75-84 would receive a $32,000 homestead exemption from school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes

Residents 85 years and older would receive a full exemption from school district ad valorem taxes on their homestead's assessed value

Requires voter approval via referendum on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2026, with exemptions taking effect January 1, 2027 if approved by majority vote

Exemption replaces (not adds to) any other existing Bibb County school district homestead exemptions and does not affect state, county, or municipal ad valorem taxes
